Tips for your feet
Sit down on a chair and slightly lift your feet from the ground, while stretching out your legs. Slowly pull the tips of your toes to your body and stretch them out again. You will feel how the ankles and calf muscles will stretch. A warm sensation will rise in your feet and legs.
Relaxing footbath: A footbath is a nice easy way to relax your feet. Heat up some water to a comfortable temperature, put it into a bowl and add the bath oil of your choice. Put your feet in and relax.
Stand with your legs open as wide as your hips. Move slowly onto your tiptoes and feel the weight of your body shifting to your forefoot. Stay in this position for a moment before you move back to the starting position.
Place a small item like a tissue or pen on the floor. Grab it with your feet and lift it up. Hold this position for a few seconds and move back into the starting position. Now repeat the exercise with the other foot.
Roll one foot over the grip of a dumbbell, back and forth again. If you do not have a dumbbell, you can also use a small bottle. It is also possible to do this exercise while sitting on a chair.
A simple exercise to loosen your feet muscles is to paddle your feet in opposite directions. You need to sit down for this exercise.
Stand on one foot and move the other one backwards in a stretched out position. Now move the foot of the stretched out leg in circles. Repeat this exercise 5 times and switch to the other foot. If you are looking for a more advanced version of this exercise you can place a soft mat under the leg you are standing on. This will train your balance and feet muscles.
Tips for comfortable high heels
High heels are sexy but often very uncomfortable. To increase your comfort when wearing them, follow the tips below.
Scholl GelActiv™ Insoles increase the comfort of any shoe. Especially in high heels, which tend to be rather uncomfortable, insoles will make a noticeable difference.
As soon as your feet feel painful from wearing high heels on a party evening, you should not change your shoes if you plan on changing back later. Wearing the high heels again after the break will feel even more painful than before.
You should pay attention to the place where the heel is attached to the shoe. A centred heel increases the footing. Also, the heel should not be too high and too thin.
The lighter your shoe, the more comfortable it is. Try to avoid soles made from heavy material like wood.
The thinner your shoe, the more uncomfortable it could be. If your shoes are too tight you should widen them with shoe stretchers. A tip for your next shopping trip: If you buy your shoes in the afternoon or evening, your feet will be larger compared to the morning. This condition better reflects your actual shoe size than at any other time of the day.
Tips for walking in high heels
High heels can make your walk look super sexy, but if you lack experience it may look clumsy. The following are some tips you should be aware of.
Don’t look at your feet! Walk with a proper posture and look straight ahead.
Don’t swing your arms too much! Excessive movement of your arms can worsen your overall appearance. However, slight movement or putting your hands on your hips, will emphasise the sexiness of your walk.
Don’t walk with stiff outstretched knees! Your walk has to look casual in order to be sexy. For that you need to avoid stiffness and stretched out legs.
Don’t underestimate rough grounds! For a confident walk on difficult grounds, you need to focus your weight on the balls of your feet. This increases the stability of your walk.
