Q What are corns?
A A corn is a thickened area of skin that is caused by pressure or friction over a bony part of the foot. They can cause pain if the corn presses on a nerve. They look like small lumps of hard skin and usually form on joints but can also form in between toes.
Q What are the common causes of corns?
A Corns are usually formed if there has been pressure or rubbing in particular areas on the feet. This can happen due to:
- Wearing ill-fitting shoes
- Wearing uncomfortable shoes
- Not wearing socks
- Spending too much time on your feet or walking/running
Q Why do corns hurt?
A Corns appear on your feet when your body is trying to protect your feet from pressure or excessive rubbing. Corns can become painful when they are pressing on a nerve and rubbing constantly against a surface. If a corn breaks or forms a cut, this could lead to infection.
Q How can corns be treated?
A Changing shoes so they are better fitting is a key way to help treat corns. Wearing special corn cushions, removal plasters or gel plasters can help ease any pain or pressure on your feet caused by painful corns. You can also soak a corn in water to help soften it and regularly use a pumice stone to remove hard skin. You can also seek help of a specialist who may sometimes remove the corn. Please see a podiatrist or doctor is you have diabetes, heart and circulatory problems, if the corn is bleeding or is infected, if the pain is severe or it hasn't improved after self-treating for 3 weeks.
Q What is the difference between a corn and a callus on your foot?
A Corns are smaller, concentrated parts of hard skin, whereas calluses are formed over larger areas on your feet.
Q What is the difference between a corn and a wart on your foot?
A A corn is a small lump made up of hard skin that is formed from pressure or rubbing on your feet. Corns are not contagious. However, warts are caused by a virus infection that has entered the skin through cuts or other openings. Warts are contagious.
Q Can corns heal on their own?
A It depends on the size of the corn and how it appeared there. Treatments may help the corn from getting any worse or cause you pain. You can help the recovery of a corn by resting your feet, wearing comfortable shoes and avoiding walking or standing too much.

Q What is the Scholl 2 in 1 Corn Express Pen?
A The Scholl 2 in 1 Corn Express Pen is a way of treating corns. It includes a scraper to help remove the surface layer of the corn as well as an advanced treatment liquid that softens the hard skin area.

We will also provide you with a tracking number once your order has left our warehouse. This way you will know it is on its way and will be able to track its progress.
Q How does the Express delivery work?
A If you choose our express delivery and place your order before 2pm, your order should arrive in 1-2 working days. Working Day means all days from Monday to Friday, but excludes Saturday and Sunday. For example an order placed before 2pm on Friday will be delivered on Tuesday-Wednesday. Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will be delivered on Wednesday-Thursday.
Note: we do not offer Express Delivery on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Q How long do standard deliveries take?
A With our standard delivery we aim to deliver within 2-4 working days.
Q What happens if I am out when delivery is attempted?
A All orders will be delivered to the delivery address you have provided us.
For express orders; In case our carrier cannot deliver your order, two additional delivery attempts will follow. In case our carrier still is not able to deliver your order he will provide you with instructions explaining how or where you can pick up your parcel.
Standard delivery orders will be sent via Royal Mail and will follow your usual local process (typically collection from nearby depot).
Q What happens if I miss the carrier's delivery?
A If you missed the carrier's attempt at delivery, don't worry, you can rearrange delivery for another date by calling the number shown on the card.
